Making Learning Work

Testimonials

Park View Business & Enterprise School is now in its third year of working with MLW.

They have found work placements which have matched the pupil's requests and have regularly done monitoring visits. The office staff have been extremely efficient in keeping the school informed of pupil attendance at their work placements.

The Health & Safety course held in school is well organised and the materials used are of a professional standard. The Staff who deliver the course have a good knowledge of their subject and work well with pupils.

I have found all staff to be helpful to both pupils and myself.

Andrew Hines, Director of Work Related Learning, Park View School

We have used MLW for the last three years. They do an excellent job with our more disaffected students and find them appropriate work placements.

Our dealings with the staff have always been excellent and their relationships with our students are excellent. Some of our really difficult students have managed to complete their education, take their GCSE’s and leave school achieving some success due solely to MLW.

Some of our students have been successful in their placements, that they have even been offered jobs at the end of year 11.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the company to any school who need assistance in developing an appropriate alternative curriculum.

Paul Hanlon, Assistant Head Teacher, The Arthur Terry School

MLW has provided quality work placements for keystage 4 students at Castle High School over a 5 year period. The company offer a professional and comprehensive programme that can be accommodated well within the school budget. I have always found MLW to be understanding to the individual needs of our students.

Paul Townsend, Keystage 4 Inclusion Manager, Castle High School and Visual Arts College

Colton Hills has had a long association with Making Learning Work. Several students have been invovled with the company and it has been a valuable expereince for all concerned.

They arrange programmes of work, which are individually tailored to student needs. My association with the staff at Making Learning Work has always been a positive experience. They are professional, approachable and are always willing to discuss any issues that may arise with students. A commendable part of the service they offer is they always react to requests immediately so that any issues are resovled quickly and appropriately.

Rose Jones, Learning Support Manager, Colton Hills School
