Making Learning Work brings schools and employers together to develop vocational options for 14-19 students, who are striving to develop their personal, social and academic skills.
The overall objective is to encourage the students to continue to learn and to enable them to progress to post school education, training or employment, thus enhancing student's prospects and widening the possibilities open to them.
We have worked hard to develop the material we use to run a highly successful service into a comprehensive on-line centre. Through the use of our material we aim to raise levels of attainment, providing high quality alternative styles of learning throughout all schools at key stages 4 and 5.
We offer on-line support and guidance to schools across the country to help build upon existing good practice in developing young people in the world of work.
The material has been segmented into four categories: (click here for more details)
Each service category consists of a varied level of information- depending on schools individual levels of usage. The aim is to allow schools across the country the facility to select an appropriate level to satisfy their needs.
The overall purpose of Making Learning Work is to provide a positive learning experience for all students and schools, whose needs and interests are not fully met by the traditional school curriculum. The Work Related Learning curriculum must be used as a tool for learning and will be supported by Making Learning Work.
