The Team

The Making Learning Work team comprises of members each playing a critical part to the programme's success.

The Directors

The Directors of Making Learning Work create innovative ideas to steer the company forward, thinking every day of new ways in which to satisfy the needs of schools and students across the Country. They ensure the workforce is motivated and focused on clear objectives.

Project Manager

Our Project Manager overseas the everyday running of the programme, ensuring schools, students and host companies are satisfied with the level of service they are receiving. Holding regular meetings with schools to monitor and review progress to the satisfaction of all parties. Any necessary feedback is then given to relevant members of the team. The project manager also source, develop and maximise relationships with prospective and existing host companies to ensure students can be suitably placed for Work Related Learning - taking into consideration occupational sector, geographical location and company size and culture. This involves dealing with many businesses from small independents to large prestigious blue-chip organisations, across a wide range of disciplines and business sectors.

Placement Officers

Each school is allocated with an individual Placement Officer who looks after the students on programme and deals with any queries or problems the school, students or host companies maybe experiencing. Good work, progress and attendance are all monitored and reported back to the team on a daily basis.

Monitoring Team

The Monitoring Team plays a critical role in ensuring students are attending placements and progressing well with their Work Related Learning. In addition they also ensure students are happy on programme and any issues which need resolving are reported back. The Monitoring Team is also responsible for ensuring students and host companies complete regular evaluations which is fed back into the continuous improvement process.

Health and Safety Team

The Health and Saftey Team is responsible for conducting health and safety audits on placement companies, ensuring safe working procedures and systems are in place. In addition, young persons risk assessments are undertaken to determine what activities the student will be required to do, what hazards he/she may face and what measures are in place to safe guard them from those hazards. This information is then reported back to the team.

Admin/Marketing and Development

Responsible for promoting the Making Learning Work brand and raising awareness of the company, its service and products. Development and control of company website, the compilation of a termly newsletter to schools and host companies and creation of required editorials and direct mail campaigns. Marketing and development liaises closely with the team and Directors to develop effective communication strategies. Providing complete administrative support to all Making Learning Work departments, with additional responsibility of producing reports that are forwarded to schools on a daily basis and updating the company's operational database. All letters and documentation to schools, students and host companies are compiled and arranged by the Administrator as well as ensuring student registers are up-to date and all relevant paper work is in place for inspection.
